    There is also a feeling that Kadin Shedrick has taken some big steps now that he's healthy and can fully work in S&C and skill work.

    100% agree on Jordan Pope.  Pope averaged 17.6 PPG in the Pac-12 last season ... good for 5th in the conference. Led the Pac-12 in FT %, as well as one of the leaders in 3 %.  He's 100% a pr

Happy he mentioned defense. Chuckled at make a few shots. Yeah it will be more than a few.

SIAP... Lake Travis 4* SF Hudson Greer gave an update on his recruitment.   Pretty clear it's UConn & everybody else...ALA & AZ in the mix as well.  He's not sure if he'll take an OV to Texas

South Sudan won their first olympic basketball game, ever, today... beat Puerto Rico 90-79.  & that's after having a 20 pt lead vs the US last week; they ended up losing that game, but played very well

South Sudan HC:  Royal Ivey

Yeah, don't see Texas pushing for Greer (look at 2026 at wing).

It's a clear top 3: Kingston Flemings, Koa Peat and John Clark. Texas loves Shelton Henderson, but that is Duke over UH expected.

How about Isiah Harwell (Top 10 6'5" SG)?  I believe we made the final four on his list and he is scheduled to visit Aug 30-Sept 1.  Is it most likely we finish 3rd or 4th like Henderson?

I actually know Greers trainer. Never met the kid though. I believe he is playing his senior year elsewhere.

Oh by the way. Durant went off today. It literally was his first game. Too tall to get that shot blocked.

Does anything underscore the nature of the pretense of a scholarship athlete being a student than the recruit having to decide between Duke and Houston?

Take away the incentive of graduating college in four years, if ever, and replace it with the incentive to turn pro in one or two and the Duke/Cougar High difference evaporates.  A degree from Duke is worth far more than a degree from Houston but a single year at either college is almost meaningless except for prep to play pro ball.

@Gerry Hamilton

Gerry, what ever happened to Texas pursuing Bugg Edwards out of Duncanville? Kid can really shoot the rock...is he too 1 dimensional for his size?

I'll take that as a "No."

Just haven't heard about a push there from Texas

They should get him just because of his name alone!

Weaver can jump to the moon.  He might as well prove that he can shoot from there.  Would put Bird and Jordan to shame in that game of Horse.
