Texas A&M has snagged a commitment from Lancaster, CA cornerback Adonyss Currie.

Texas had yet to get Currie onto campus for a visit, but I do believe there was an attempt to push for Currie at some point in this cycle. 

While Currie joins the Texas A&M class, that does not mean the Longhorns are facing a shape up on their cornerback board. Dorian Brew, Kade Phillips, and Aidan Anding remain on the table for Texas moving forward.

Texas will also host Auburn CB commit Devin Williams (Buford, GA) for an official visit as well.

Who? He must like being average to commit there.

Just looking at the on3 consensus cb list, aggy has 3, ou has 1.   Osu has 2 of the top 3 and still want brew who is 4

yes rankings aren’t everything, but we really need to get brew. I like anding and Chester and all, but we have to get a Brew or Antoine level elite talent every year.

Joseph got Manny Muhammad and we’ll see with Santana Wilson.

The defense doesn’t get to be an elite defense on 3rd downs without improved secondary play and that improvement goes to Joseph and Gideon.

There’s a reason sark didn’t give either of them a raise when the coaches got them this offseason so i think the jury is still out on them

1 elite corner signed, in 3 years? Mediocre recruiting at best.

Don't really want a kid whose parents can't spell Adonis.

Muhammad, Kobe Black, Wardell Mack, Santana Wilson. Brooks didn't pan out, but was a big win at the time. Joseph was also a primary recruiter for Derek Williams even though he is in the safety room.

 

Guess you have a different definition for "mediocre". The verdict on development of the DB room is still out, but it's objectively incorrect to call his recruiting efforts at Texas "mediocre".

Exactly and Joseph got Ryan Watts drafted to the NFL.
