This high school football player during preseason practice played nearly an hour before feeling something moving in his helmet. When he took the helmet to the trainer, they found a 2-foot cottonmouth snake behind the padding. 

There kid got a new helmet and went back to practice. Me, I would have needed therapy, and then gone out for basketball.😁

I just read that as well.  Dude is so lucky.

Saw this. How the hell did a snake get in there? Feel like there's no way this helmet was on a hook in a locker in a locker room. 

It would take me a minute to be able to put on another helmet.  He could have legit died

He had the helmet on for almost an hour - that is crazy!! 

There would’ve been human excrement all over that field once they found that in my helmet 

Talk about being snake bitten before the games even started.

That is what I was asking myself. I bet procedures change. Is it legal to keep mongoose in the equipment room?

No kidding. I hate snakes. 

Sent this to a buddy of mine who is an AD. He said it must’ve been a receiver if he didn’t realize it was in his helmet…. Because they don’t hit 😂

Does anyone think Gerry could have been a snake charmer in another life? 😉

Snakes can find their way into some crazy places. Even on a hook I could see a snake getting there.  Glad my helmet wearing days are long past.

I want to meet the person brave enough to stand over the helmet and puor water in it to force the snake out. They would have had to give me one of those 5ft. grabbers with a pistol grip.

Just give me a pistol....not the grip.  There would have been a lot more ventilation in that helmet by the time i was done.
