Prayers to Chris Johnson

Featured Replies

In less than a year, he went from being able to do everything physically to not being able to talk or lift his arms. That's a pretty rapid advancement of that horrible disease. I can't imagine what it's like to be given a death sentence that early in life. Based on my own faith and the peace that I have, I pray that he has a close relationship with Jesus and that he is at peace in his heart with the certainty of that final journey.

My grandmother died from ALS. You can’t imagine how devastating this disease is until you watch someone waste away from it. My thoughts and prayers are with Chris and his family.

My in law’s next door neighbor of 25 years passed from it and you are right he only made it a year or so. Very tough situation. My condolences to you and you’re family for you’re grandmother

Awful news. My best friends mom was tough to witness.

Has there been any correlation with CTE?

Don’t think it has.

My youngest brother got Parkinson when he was 43 it was so sad watching him wasted away. He passed OU week 2023

Watched my dad wither away within a year after his ALS diagnosis right after he retired. Only in my mid 30’s now and wish he was still here to create more memories with.

Definitely sucks. So sad he couldn’t enjoy his retirement.

I appreciate it, Dude. My heart breaks every time i hear about somebody’s diagnosis with ALS. It’s just heartbreaking to see a family member helpless to what’s happening to them.
