Reminding, Gerry he went full aggy

Featured Replies

He predicted the Spurs in 6 due to the NBA not wanting a short series (which he believes the Spurs would have swept the Knicks). Experience matters in the NBA playoffs (when facing a healthy team).

You never go full Aggie. I believe he was right the Spurs judt blew the $hit outta their diaper in G4 and got in their heads for G5.

They led by double digits in all 5 games and led for 72% of the series yet only won one game.

Gerry going full aggy  isnt the breaking news you think it is.

Are you going to make a post letting everyone know that water makes things wet?

That’s the youth and inexperienced part.

Youth played a role for sure, but I think Mike Brown deserves a lot of credit making adjustments throughout the series. Plenty of teams would have folded especially in game 4.

Spurs youth and inexperienced of coach Mitch Johnson showed during the finals.

Mitch was rough this series for sure, but Knicks more than earned it. Jalen Brunson has mastered basketball as a 6-1'ish guard that isn't a high-end vertical athlete. Total maximization of a player. Huge fan of him.

Spurs have to hand ball to Harper next season. Harper/Wemby have to be the faces of the franchise.

if Castle doesn't like that, get him out while he's young and his value is high.

Mitch coached like he was making players comfortable ... Castle and Fox. Always a losing coaching maneuver.

If I was the Spurs, I would ship out Castle this summer, and add more perimeter shooting. He plays hard, credit for sure. But he's a low end NBA three-point shooter, and he's not a PG/team runner/lead guard. He simply doesn't have the instincts for the game to lead in that type of role. He's needs to play off the ball as hustle, attacker and opportune scorer as a 3rd/4th option long term if the Spurs will maximize. But is he willing? If they square peg/round hole this deal they are in danger of wasting Wemby's most healthy years. Maybe Harper/Wemby can get them there with Castle, but he has to be accepting of who he is as a player

Him winning ROTY and being sold as a foundational piece will make it hard for him to accept especially while he's still on his rookie deal and hasn't really gotten paid yet.

Yep. I agree 100%.

If they placate to him and play him with ball in hand too much, it will likely set the team's maximization back. He's just not that player, and it can't be forced

Why would the Spurs get rid of Castle he’s one of the best defenders in the league and proved it in the playoffs!

Castle doesn’t need to go

Gerry-I appreciate your basketball excitement but your swings And misses are so big. Backing Terry so vociferously was all I needed to know

Castle isn't a PG or team runner. Not even close. That's why the Spurs staff was forced to take him off the ball late in games. He was taken off the ball when games mattered the most. It's easy to see, if you know ball at all. Not natural, zero instincts. A TO machine way too much when the stakes were the highest.

He can stay and be a key piece if he is willing to actually be who he is as a player. If he doesn't want to be who he truly is as a player, I would move him. That's my opinion.

It's both hysterical and very sad that you continue to pump a theory of yours you were so wrong about. But keep taking swings. You have the count to 0 and 35'ish. May want to lay off the off speed, and stop taking those awful swings!
