I don’t know what the backup plan is for portal pitcher but there better be one.

Texas spent a LOT on retention. And rightfully so.

FYI - Mike White said yesterday that they have a recruit visiting on Monday. I assume it’s a portal prospect. He would not say which position.

Relax on portal pitcher. Same narrative last year when they didn't get a "back up plan". White will get what he feels they need. Hannah Wells is back. Just the Gatorade Player of the Year out of HS and #3 pitcher in the nation coming in from Grandview.

Yep, the team is a good team as it sits now, anyone they get to join is icing on the cake.

They had Citlaly last year. And they got Brenlee Gonzales. Mike White always has at least two experienced arms on staff. Right now he doesn’t.

Some SEC teams carry 6-8 pitchers. Texas had five last year. Right now Texas has four pitchers and one isn’t even on campus yet. As of today it’s Teagan and three very raw, young arms. Teagan absolutely needs help.

Not if that want to 3 peat it's not. They need more experience. Torres and an experienced arm.

I'm pretty sure he knows what he is doing

We benefitted from Laly finding her control and peaking when we needed it. We HAVE to have someone that can eat up innings and win games in a WCWS three game series.

100%.  The resume, particularly 2022-present, speaks for itself.  Arguably the best program/HC in the game or 1B at worst depending on how y’all feel about OU/Gasso.

Texas also must get more RBIs from 3rd base play.

RBI's are not a positional thing. She scored runs when it counted the most and she played the hot corner extremely well for a true freshman.

What  did the lefty (Lincoln)from Texas Tech decide?

Going to guess Arkansas (or) OSU from what i've been reading. Don't think we are going after her(just an opinion).

Going to guess she will end up at Arkansas - they have the most innings available of the two. OSU needs a No. 2 behind their ace, but but not ace‑level volume.

Then again, there is Florida - but some are saying Florida is the least predictable of the three.

With Heavener going to Tech, don't think we are going after a pitcher now...but have been wrong many, many times before.

I'll trust the judgment and decisions of the coach with back to back Nattys

So far we have gone mainly with recruited players and has worked out. Wish we had a portal pitcher coming in . Hope our young ones can step up and ride with Kavan. Hook em
