Kyla posting about last night’s breaking news.

She never made a team and has been in Austin this entire time. MBB players have actually played in the G league and pros and returned.

I’ve been wondering. She’d make more at Texas and went pro because she believed she was out of eligibility. I’ve been thinking about Citlaly, too. But there’s only one spot available.

Texas only has one roster spot available if my math is correct. I don’t know if White will try to get an outfielder or move on. I’m ready for coaching announcements.

Tech has gotten two players today. No names yet. 😬

Vivi played 2nd and SS her freshman year. She also played both in high school. I assume Vivi moves to 2nd.

Texas is 0-2 this weekend and neither made it to campus after visiting A&M and Tech.

White tries to get portal players. They are outbid year after year by other schools. Texas lost out on their top targets last year to Tech, A&M and Arkansas, and ended up with two players who took pay cuts to play for Texas. The same is already happening. Last year’s targets: Tallen Edwards and Taylor Pannell (pitcher) > A&M Jazzy Burns and Desirae Spearman > Tech Dakota Kennedy > Arkansas

Some SEC teams carry 6-8 pitchers. Texas had five last year. Right now Texas has four pitchers and one isn’t even on campus yet. As of today it’s Teagan and three very raw, young arms. Teagan absolutely needs help.

They had Citlaly last year. And they got Brenlee Gonzales. Mike White always has at least two experienced arms on staff. Right now he doesn’t.

I don’t know what the backup plan is for portal pitcher but there better be one.

I mentioned it on the other thread, Texas is in it for three players according to Softball America: Isa Torres, Moriah Polar and Maddy Azua. It is between Tech and Texas for Isa and Moriah. According to Tech sites, they have four All Americans visiting this weekend. I am assuming Torres and Polar are two of the four. I don’t know about Isa visiting. I’m hoping mods can give any insights.

Pickering lost her starting role at Oklahoma and was the DH. She wants to do more than just hit and that’s not happening next year at Oklahoma. Her hitting numbers also regressed significantly. Although I’d take those numbers any day. 😂

According to Tech sites, they have four All Americans visiting this weekend. Torres and Polar are probably two of the four. No mention on Texas visits. A&M is focusing on Azua. Hopefully, she values winning. I am trying to link the Softball America article, which is behind a paywall, but it’s not letting me.

Or on visits? There are rumblings of Maddy Azua visiting today but there have been no confirmations anywhere.

My goodness, I don’t care who you believe. 😂 Half of you don’t even watch softball and suddenly want to care because Texas won back to back national championships. Congratulations. I’ll let you keep getting your information from Softball Randy on X who steals his information from a random softball discord made up of random fans. 😂

She’s not the ace at A&M or Florida. Florida had their ace returning, Keagan Rothrock, and Ava Brown, who was hurt most of this year. Additionally, Florida has Caroline Stanton (a Buford, GA standout) who was named the 2025-26 Gatorade National Softball Player of the Year. The Aggies return their ace Sydney Lessentine and Sidne Peters. Texas actually makes more sense. She’s the clear 2 after Teagan.

Don’t believe that account. Almost every school wants her and she’s only taken one visit.

The second picture. 🥹

The softball team is extremely close and they genuinely love each other. Some share a house and dog together. This isn’t an act.
