I'm sure it sucks for those 7th graders now but there's a high chance he's barely a top 100 prospect by the time his Junior year rolls around. I still remember when Emoni Bates was going to challenge Victor Wembanyama for the #1 pick in the.b 2023 NBA draft. Wemby is a top 5 player and Bates is in the G League playing for the Texas Legends.

That's what I used to look like in MS basketball.

McCallum's Center was 6'5" in mid 60s high school in Austin.  Abe Lemons won the NIT with a 6'5" center.  Had a bunch of shooters and Johnny Moore on that team.

That kid needs to be playing 2 age levels up.  

And he’s only going to get bigger, faster and stronger as puberty progresses 

If he can get NIL pre college he should be set for retirement pretty soon.
