Never expected to win this, Schloss made that very clear. That’s fine, whatever. The fact that we put up a single run is not only putrid, but also just tells me we’re in for a regionals exit again. Rinse and repeat.

After seeing Dietz take that one off the ankle I am perfectly fine not using any big arms in this tournament.

Other than Howard allowing the two home runs, the pitching has been pretty good today.

I was actually encouraged by Howard.  Just made a couple of bad mistakes.

We faced two first round picks today.

That type of pitching isn’t coming to the Austin Regional. And we have been strong offensively at home all year.

I know you’ve convinced yourself for 2 months that this team isn’t winning in the postseason because we lost some games but let’s see what happens.

Hitting is atrocious when it counts….bad time of year to suck at the plate.  We knock out the starter..then get shutdown by the second guy…  Omaha not looking great without an easy path.

We actually did okay against Dietz, their relievers mowed us down.

I usually unpin the thread when the game is over.

Oh okay. I remember them being pinned longer. Oh well, that was not fun.

Sorry but I disagree. Texas was so banged up last year that they had no business being in a super regional. Guys were doing everything they could to just play… injured or not.

It was a miracle they made it as far as they did.

And Texas is well this year?

Rodriguez, Jonah, Mendoza, the pitcher who just had surgery,  and a couple others who are recovered enough to play.

Whole bunch of excuses?  Aggies for relatives?  Still have to play the game ..everyone has injuries…some more than others… but dang we just forfeited without saying it publicly.  1 Damn Run….

Texas had 1.5 starters and Volantis on the pitching staff by the end of last year.

They are in a much better spot this year.

Why not just lsu, aggie, or notre dame the sec tourney and call in sick? Im on board with scrimmaging but the travel probably isnt wirth it

When Robbins, Tinney and Pack go 0-11, and you set your pitching rotation to lose, you're not going to have much of a chance. Schloss needs to make it to Omaha.

SEC a really tough league in baseball. We finished first last year in regular season and second this year. Not sure what we were doing yesterday with pitching. Augie did something like that couple of times in conference tournament friend of mine told me. Making it to Omaha a challenge. Here is hoping.
