Thanks.  If you were to bucket these 15 into groups, would it be?:

Major Contributors:  Isaiah Johnson, Elyjah Freeman, Matas Vokietaitis, Austin Goosby, David Punch, Mikey Lewis, Amari Evans

Developmental Contributors: Marcus Spears, Bo Ogden, John Clark, Lewis Obiorah

Practice Players: Joe Sterling, Coleman Elkins, Mantas Laurencikas, Anton McDermott

What is your definition of major contributors? Then I can answer

Spears will be a major contributor for sure though

With Spears Jr. ... he is making a fair # in year one from what I hear. This wasn't a bargain recruitment for Texas. That was Austin Goosby who took half of what BYU was offering to be at Texas. But t

Seems like we have good reason to have a thread to chat on all summer and through the season.    Team workouts begin June 1, I believe

I do think Texas is potentially better at every position (not to start the season at SG), with one distinction ... Texas played two SF's last year and not a traditional 4 man, so they are combined.

On3's Jaimie Shaw did a "Call his shot" of the top uncomitted 2027 players. Still so early so this really doesnt hold much weight but heres what he said about

5-star PG Beckham Black

Beckham Black is the No. 5 overall player in the 2027 Rivals150, and the top point guard. Black has already taken an official visit to Georgetown. He has upcoming dates set with UNC and Texas. He is the younger brother of Anthony Black, who played for Eric Musselman at Arkansas. USC, Arkansas, Miami, Texas Tech, and others are also mentioned in Black’s recruitment.

Calling My Shot: Texas
Confidence: 25%
Biggest Threat: Duke, USC, etc.

Spears is not a developmental contributor.

Just watched the full interview. Said some interesting stuff. Didn’t realize he was only 19 still. Said he’s down to 8% body fat and still around 245. Plans to take more 3s this year and be 30%+ from 3.

Has been tremendous the last two weeks of workouts

John Clark did have a fine HS career until his injury.  I am looking forward to his being a presence on both ends of the floor as a rotational BIG.

Sean Miller: "I'm forever grateful. I think we all are. They're always welcome back.”
