Johnson was a 3* and Nik Khamenia the 5* and McDonald's AA ... I'll say it again, Johnson is going to be a first round pick in 2027 or 2028 IMO 

Joe Sterling has some Fletcher Loyer in him, if his foot quickness is close enough to Loyer to be able to hold his own defensively. Can flat out shoot it, more comfortable with ball than given credit for. 

 

If Sterling ends up with Fletcher Loyer-level career that’s a massive W for Texas

Fletcher Loyer’lite would be ideal by years 3-4 

 

Sterling is a hooper ... again, against most guys a in class ahead of him ... Fletcher Loyer level player in play IMO

Sterling looked collected and capable in this game. I think he will be a contributor by the end of the season.

Gerry... MY MAN!! I've been buried in his highlights since we latched onto him. Joe can go... he just needs to get stronger.

Coaches wont change it … shoots it too well

Should have been changed by the time he was 15. 

It's coaching malpractice. Without being some kind of freak athlete, you can't expect to overcome funky mechanics. 

You say some goofy stuff. His form is fine.

We'll see how well he shoots with that low release point when he has some long athletes defending him.

Remember last year at this time they were talking about Declan Duru's leaping ability and shooting. Said he couldn't move laterally and had zero elevation on his jumper. 

Sterling won't even be Duru unless he changes his shot.

Sterling literally releases the ball from about two inches above his ear. He's losing at least ten to twelve inches on his release point if he shot properly. That's not good form no matter how you define it. Doesn't matter what his percentage is in high school.
