It's a mystery to me why it's so difficult to make the CFB playoff committee prioritize strength of schedule. They do it in basketball and baseball, but they refuse to do it in football. Make it black and white and don't give them any wiggle room.

It is too much to ask a team to play its A game every outing.  That is why a schedule with only two talented opponents cannot compare to one with eight.

It isn't because more talent is required to play the more difficult schedule. It is because an incredibly more intense emotional cost is levied.

Notre Dame can surely talent match with the top half of the B1G and the SEC.  But the championship in those conferences is worth a two or three loss differential.

Teams get up for Notre Dame like no other.  Yeah, the talent on their schedule may not necessarily be prime, but that is offset a tad.

It’s a bit of what Texas sees but maybe more.  

Our non-conference this year is very stout because UTSA and Texas State are not cakewalks on top of the OSU.

There is a strength of schedule metric.  Notre Dames was similar to Tech and Miami last year.  Maybe even Ole Miss.

It's playoff or bust and honestly Natty or bust.... NO excuses. 

Disparity in college football schedules across conferences needs to be addressed. 

With that schedule I'll take 10-2. But I think that OSU game is a must win. Lose that then gotta go 10-1 the rest of the way to avoid another 9-3 s scenario.

Hold home court at 7-0. Very doable. Gives you 2 mulligans with 4 road games and OU. Wanna win em all, and we could . But don't have any faith with it coming down to a Committee. And yeah with ND schedule , and the carved out rule for them, 1 spot is already taken imo.
