This tells you who Vic is.

Now I worry about losing some of those recruits.

You don’t think they will see the sudden opening for playing time at the school they already chose as a good thing? You are selling these girls and their representatives short.

I do hope Coach Vic addresses this publicly. He owes it to us. One of the most loyal and vested fan bases in the country and no one expected this mutiny. They all seemed happy at the Buccee stops, dancing, messing around with coach, etc. Just goes to show that so much of life is a facade.

Coach Vic doesn’t owe us anything.  We are not part of the equation.

Very good point. Bri Crittendon and Bjorn likely will start now.

Texas is currently scheduling visits with Gracie Merkle, Dani Carnegie and Zya Vann, allegedly.

Not sure Merkle is going to fit defensively but she'd be nice to have offensively. I like Carnegie and Vann though. They're athletic enough to be molded in Vic's defense but can really score too. Haven't really seen Dauda play much in a while but Cody would fill in what we're losing with Oldacre.

Audi Crooks to visit Texas

Would be surprising. Haven't seen that posted anywhere.

There are definitely reports that a visit is being scheduled.

Preston hasn't entered the portal yet. I hope she stays. She's a bestie with Jordan Lee.

Preston and Breya are rumored to be next.

Interesting. Just seems like a strange fit if it comes to be.

I agree. Nothing is set in stone and several schools are talking to her so I am letting it play out.

Explains to me why we did not win it all. Had half the damn team not all in.

The biggest loss to me is Jordan Lee and after that Justice Carlton and right after her would be Crump.  The others are replaceable with upgrades from the portal, theoretically all but Lee and Carlton are harder to replace.

Anyone want to talk the masters I just made a topic! Masters 2026

Watching paint dry is so exciting!

MODs across the board have been quiet on the women’s team. Even on Coffee and Football this morning one danced around the questions asked about the women’s portal and team while the other went straight to the men’s question. Must be something that needs to be kept on the down low for now.

I do believe this is why Booker tried to play hero ball.  What I saw was UCLA play as a team and Texas play as a bunch players trying to go 1v5, including Booker.

IMO, Carlton is lazy, and she has an attitude problem. Bye.

I’m with you on Dani Carnegie and Zya Vann;  Those are the types Vic loves because they give you both ends. Athletic, switchable, and still bring real scoring juice, which is what Texas lost more than anything. That’s why the guard piece still feels like the swing factor to me. Replacing what Rori Harmon did structurally is the hardest part of this whole thing.

The reason the Cody/Dauda split keeps coming up for me is because it fits reality. It patches the biggest losses without asking one player to do everything.

I think some questions are fair here. Vic has undoubtedly done wonders here. Just seems pretty crazy if we lose Moore, Carlton, Crump, Lee, and Preston from the team. If it is more than just NIL. I suspect it is  NIL, playing time/offensive strategy , and maybe some personality issues.

But then again gotta wait and see if all that happens, and what moves are made. We might be shooting for the big fish now with $ to spend  and catch em. Vic certainly deserves the benefit of doubt, while he reshapes the team for next year. Will know soon enough.🤟

I think it's a lot of low key jealousy and clicks type situation, in a lot of places. This is also the NIL era, and girls have the same motivations as the guys, in regards to, earning potential and minutes. Vic signed a helluva class and I guarantee you these ladies were looking over their shoulders a bit. Maybe some girls felt Maddy got too much of the shine and not enough of the blame until she had the bad game...maybe the exit meetings didn't go so well, who knows. What I do know is.... this responsibility, representing the University of Texas, will not be bestowed upon the weak or timid. 🤘🏿🔥✊🏿
