This is a very big day for Texas high school athletics ... it's UIL realignment day!

It's the UIL..... ALWAYS expect the unexpected.

What you can also expect: some head scratchers.

I hope they move Texas City we be gotten out butts handed to it’s the past few years lol

It will be interesting to see what they do with Dripping Springs, Westlake, Vandegrift, Lake Travis. They could swing Westlake either direction.

Crosby is going to love getting murdered in 6A lol. Plainview needed to go to 4A (3A eventually). Frenship Memorial moving up to 5A with the main Lubbock schools while old Frenship going back down to 5A where they belong. DeSoto down to 5A...

District 11 remains the District of Doom in DFW.

Waxahachie, Red Oak, Skyline, Duncanville and North Crowley... phew.

 

DeSoto bumping down to 5A and after three titles at the 6A level will be received well I am sure.

I get what your saying but they are 200 students below the 6A cutoff.  I wonder what lead them to accept going down and not asking for a waive to stay in 6A?

Does this mean they’ll just look for out of state non district opponents? Forgive my ignorance. I pay almost zero attention to high school ball cuz I went to Austin Bowie, where absolutely nothing good ever happens in football except for a miracle undefeated district record in 2008 (my sophomore year).
