Thanks Gerry! How much does the uncertainty with Nansen impact our negotiations with LBers in this portal? I’m sure opposing teams will use this as leverage but maybe the NIL era reduces the impact of position coach uncertainty?

Gerry, I posted this in another thread—is Alliegro really that much better than other LBs in the portal? I admittedly did not watch any Wisc football this year, but he wasn’t exactly a tackle machine. I could be way off base, just not familiar with him

I personally think he's a top 3-4 round NFL draft pick.

Alliegro seems to  be exceptional with gap integrity and fitting the run. He gets good drops in zone coverage, and plays the game with a level of violence that is requisite of playing LB.

i feel like that is the job of an agent is to create chaos for the most $ for their client.

Industry rankings aren't always perfect, or even good, but our "top LB" is rated like 2 pages lower than Auburn or Cal guys who are also in the portal.  Are we that good at evaluation?  Something feels off, no?  Based on OTF's reporting, I was expecting the three "TBA" to be slightly better than this.

Dude went to the high school next to me. Was a Lax 5 star recruit and at one point committed to Army (iirc? one of the service academies). then he went to a boarding school Jr/Sr year and bulked up and swapped to football. Super athletic kid and huge

Wisconsin LB Christian Alliegro arrived officially on campus this morning around 9:15 a.m. with his dad.

He remains on campus now.
