Think about Brady and, to some extent, Romo (that’s my quarterback). They made WR look good.

We need OL and RB. The WRs simply aren’t as important for the offense to be great next year. Getting an #A1 WR while not getting an #A1 OL is useless.

  • You have my attention. Harkless recorded 3 sacks this season at 6-3, 345.  10 pressures from up the middle would have been tied for 2nd on this year's Texas DL.

  • There are some very firm prerequisites I would have for Texas in regards to portal targets this year: 1. Coming off of season-ending injury? Crossed off the list. 2. I want a seamless positi

  • My thing with A&M flirting with high dollar WR is pretty simple.  Until they get a quarterback that’s able to consistently complete 10 yard passes, none of their moves mean anything to me.

Texas is not spending 2.5 3 million on a WR guys, the sooner you guys accept that the less painful it'll be when goes somewhere else

Bobby litterally said not long ago that Texas is gonna spend between 6 and 8 million in the portal, an average of 500+k if we take 15 guys, which is the high end on what anyone is gonna spend in the portal.
We're not blowing almost half of the budget on a WR.

Aaron Rodgers was never given a first round receiver in green bay.

If that is truly our portal budget in an "all in" year then that is incredibly low given how many needs we have.

I bet it’s higher than that

15 players out of the portal sounds right.

This will be a $16-$20 million, maybe more depending on Boosters.

Hey CJ, just out of curiosity, is Wingo coming back next season? Or is he gonna hard ball us?

what’s the price tag on Omarion Miller? i know there’s a bunch of CU haters.  but i’ve watched them a lot.   Miller can play.

Cam Coleman would be worth $2.5M I really don’t care what anyone says. But I will say if it comes down to $2.5M for him or 3 big fellas on the o-line, I’ll take the ladder. But both would be more in the “all in” we keep hearing about.
1. OL 2. OL 3. OL 4. RB 5. CB then we should worry about WR

Holy hell! This threads full of bad takes by people that will be the first ones saying “fire this coach” “this guy sucks” if the staff was stupid enough to make those moves.

The big unanswered question in all this is, did they let D Moore walk because they plan to spend $$$ to upgrade in the portal? If so, maybe they make a run at Coleman. The risk is that they might lose Wingo if they pursue Coleman too aggressively. I’m not sure they want that to happen. Or, do they think they can upgrade from Moore through some combination of what they have on campus with finding good value in the portal? I guess we will find out soon.
