  • You have my attention. Harkless recorded 3 sacks this season at 6-3, 345.  10 pressures from up the middle would have been tied for 2nd on this year's Texas DL.

  • There are some very firm prerequisites I would have for Texas in regards to portal targets this year: 1. Coming off of season-ending injury? Crossed off the list. 2. I want a seamless positi

  • My thing with A&M flirting with high dollar WR is pretty simple.  Until they get a quarterback that’s able to consistently complete 10 yard passes, none of their moves mean anything to me.

Woodyard will be someone I watch very closely when the portal opens.

I don't know much about the pursuit or interest of LSU OG Coen Echols, but I do find players with two likely years of time on campus to be very intriguing.

Echols is a redshirt freshman who scratched the starting lineup in the back end of 2025.

@CJ Vogel I doubt this happens, but could Texas take two high-level starting LBs out of the portal like Thomas and Woodyard?

Could they? Yes.

Will they? remains to be seen of that caliber player, but 2 feels like the expectation now.

Does the staff taking Mosley, Kanu, and Watson last year indicate they may be valuing the extra year, or is that just who was available?

not a bad player, mostly an outside option however. Not sure if the fit is there

Understood on Kanu. Included him because I don’t think anyone really anticipated him playing himself into the draft this year considering he barely played at Ohio st. If the staff can find a few more like him I’ll be thrilled.

Top OL in a conference of two teams.

I mean, it’s like finding the one person in Oklahoma that has all his teeth, but an accomplishment nonetheless.
