  • You have my attention. Harkless recorded 3 sacks this season at 6-3, 345.  10 pressures from up the middle would have been tied for 2nd on this year's Texas DL.

  • There are some very firm prerequisites I would have for Texas in regards to portal targets this year: 1. Coming off of season-ending injury? Crossed off the list. 2. I want a seamless positi

  • My thing with A&M flirting with high dollar WR is pretty simple.  Until they get a quarterback that’s able to consistently complete 10 yard passes, none of their moves mean anything to me.

Is there a limit to how many people you can block/ignore?

Imagine how much cleaner these threads would be if people just DMed their arguments to eachother

I post what I thought was a notable move and it’s turned into an 8 hour b*tch fest 😂

For what it's worth, I have been keeping a running list of prospects who have announced portal intentions that I believe to needle moving targets for Texas.

I've yet to add any offensive linemen to that list.

Obviously this isn't an exact science, nor is it indicative of what Texas will do. But as of now, I don't see any big time needle moving players so far that would be immediate plug and play options for Texas on the interior.

If and when those players enter, I will make sure mention who I believe to be immediate options.

So Texas OL is in real trouble if this year's portal is like last year's Spring portal.  ☹️

There is no indication that will be the case. The portal doesn’t even open for a few weeks! There are still players on playoff teams that will likely enter. We’re a long way from despairing about portal yields.

Idk I just kinda don’t trust any Big 12 QB anymore😭

In a league full of mid it’s easy to stand out, the skill positions still hold up though as with any conference

I mean we can’t act like he wasn’t making and extending plays vs Texas in the peach bowl. He’s got his flaws, but he’s still a hell of a quarterback IMO

But then they wouldnt get to live out their fantasy of owning someone else and riding off in victory.

Wrong thread but

Chris Jackson, Akina, and potentially a few more could be as well.

He for sure has the upside to be great in the right circumstances, our guys were not able to tackle him at all during that game. Then again I thought the same for Cade Klubnik😭

There needed to be a blood sacrifice for falling from #1 overall to out of the playoff. I don’t think it’s all Chad Scott’s fault—his backs ran behind a terrible line and his top two backs were consistently injured. But the usage made me scratch my head sometimes and it didn’t seem like the young guys developed very much.

Leavitt is a gamer, he's slippery, he'll never be the processor and pocket passer that Joe Burrow was/is.

Similar things were said about Burrow before and after his first year at LSU.

It must be wonderful to have the gift of infallible prescience!

I would not be surprised if Sark did not announce a replacement sooner than later.  He already has someone in mind if not on speed dial.

Cade Klubnik was a certified 200m track guy in high school.

He should try to poach Frank Wilson, particularly given all the uncertainty around LSU retaining him. They might be able to go after Berry or Durham in the portal.

Do not see Jackson at all leaving and many casuals are accusing Akina of deficiencies in areas he does not control.
