DL note on a June visitor Texas defensive line coach Kenny Baker stopped by Lorena (Texas) High in May to watch 2025 defensive lineman Jackson Blackwell. And Texas continues to like what they see. Blackwell, 6-02 and 305 pounds, made an unofficial visit to Texas in March, and is now set to return again in June. Blackwell told OnTexasFootball Thursday that he will workout for the Texas staff at June 8 Big Man Camp. The Longhorns remain a possibility to extend an offer. Michael Terry III and Alamo Heights are leaving Comal Canyon with a 30-point victory after a dominant second half. Terry ended up with a rushing, receiving and passing touchdown in the victory for the Mules. The five-star ATH will be at Texas tomorrow for the UTSA game. Texas signed 2026 edge Brinley Tita earlier this week to add another piece to its top 10-ranked class. But the Longhorns don't appear as though they're done bolstering the position group. Long Beach City College edge rusher Paul Kouame tells OTF he's currently en route to Austin for an official visit. The 6-foot-3, 242-pounder is coming off a freshman season with the Vikings where he totaled 34 tackles, including three tackles for a loss, and two sacks. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian spoke with the media for the first time since immediately following the Cotton Bowl loss to Ohio State to end the 2024 Texas season. The Week of Practice Ahead of Mississippi State Game The Longhorns board for Starkville Friday afternoon for what is hoping to be a bounce back performance against Mississippi State.
