Ruston (La.) High and 4-star CB Aidan Anding told OTF Thursday evening that he is likely to announce his decision Monday, July 1. That is a change from original plan to announce Saturday. Texas remains in a pretty good spot. OnTexasFootball 4-star Smith Orogbo (Alief, Texas/Hastings) remains scheduled to announce July 1. Kaliq Lockett: The Latest The Texas Longhorns are in a good spot for the OnTexasFootball 4-star++ wide receiver out of Sachse (Texas) High. Lockett, 6-2 and 170, and family have engaged in some very productive calls with Steve Sarkisian and Chris Jackson in the last week. OTF believes the Horns have a solid lead over Alabama with LSU, Texas A&M and FSU rounding out the list ahead of an August 7 announcement. I posted a poll on our YouTube community page asking who folks thought the surprise of fall camp has been. On the surface, the answer is simple: Silas Bolden has become an indispensable piece of the offense. It’s not only his quickness and playmaking ability but his attitude and willingness to make the extra block that I’m told has been contagious among teammates. Of all the things I expected from Bolden, his team-first, can-do attitude permeating through the receiver room and the rest of the offense was not something I expected. Texas has released its updated injury availability report for the SEC opener against Miss State. DB Derek Williams Jr. (hamstring) and RB Colin Page have been downgraded to OUT. Jonah Williams news from Thursday night OnTexasFootball went out to Baytown Thursday night for the Galveston Ball vs. Baytown Sterling game. Ball High won the game 45-0, and Williams did his thing. These changes, which are set to be approved by the Texas Board of Regents, will not affect many fans who are able to make it to DKR. Four-star cornerback Montre Jackson wrapped up an official visit to Texas over the weekend, a return trip to the Forty Acres for the Garland (Texas) Lakeview Centennial product.
