Jaxon is third all-time in career receptions at Texas, and he, believe it or not, has the highest passer rating in UT history (he was 4-4 with three TDs, including one to Blaine Irby against the Aggies). I still don’t expect Texas to recruit him at this time. No sense in putting all your eggs in a basket that is 99.9% draft bound.

Prosper (Texas) High 2026 OT Zaden Krempin is scheduled to camp at Texas this afternoon. OnTexasFootball has the 6-5, 275’ish pound offensive tackle on offer watch today. Houston (Texas) Dekaney 4-star WR/ATH Tanook Hines is close to locking in an official visit to Texas June 21-23. Hines, 6-1 and 190 with 10.53 FAT 100 speed, is leaning to Texas over Ole Miss for the final OV after Texas (Chris Jackson/Jeff Banks) stopped by the school in recent days. Hines has OV’s locked in to USC May 31-June 2, Notre Dame June 7-9 and Baylor June 14-16. The Fighting Irish have been trending in recent weeks. Hines attended Texas junior day January 20. Steve Sarkisian first watched Hines play in 2022 when Dekaney took on Eisenhower. Hines was the best WR on the field that day as a sophomore over Ryan Niblett and Jonah Wilson. …

Earlier this week, OTF reported there was a possibility North Forney WR Briceson Thrower wouldn’t make it to his Texas A&M official visit scheduled for this weekend. After speaking with a source close to the recruitment on Friday morning, OTF can confirm Thrower’s trip to College Station is now off the schedule. With the schedule change, the only official visit remaining on the calendar is a trip to Texas set for June 12-14. Thrower previously officially visited Illinois back in April. Texas visits Jonah Williams Texas safeties coach and area recruiter Blake Gideon along with defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski made a stop at Galveston (Texas) Ball High today to see 4-star safety Jonah Williams. Williams, 6-3 and 205 pounds, was joined at Ball High by his father for the visit with the Texas staff members. According to a source, the visit went very positive for the Longhorns and Williams. Gideon was back on campus Thursday per a source as well. Today, the school formally announces his return to the defensive staff.
