Texas WR Ryan Wingo announced via Instagram story that he will be back in Austin for his junior season in 2026. Wingo and Texas had been in communication since the conclusion of the season for a new deal for his junior season and they come to an agreement on keep him in Austin. Texas has already added Cam Coleman to the room and Emmett Mosley V is locked in as well. Now with Wingo officially back, the Longhorn starting WR trio can go pound for pound with just about any team in the entire country. Texas wide receiver Ryan Wingo underwent LASIK surgery on his right eye last week and also underwent another procedure designed to help a scratch in his left eye. It's believed that the sight issue became evident in practice midway through his freshman season. The sophomore-to-be expects a full recovery and he should have 20-15 vision in his right eye moving forward. It's thought that the procedure should help him with 50-50 balls this season. According to Steve Sarkisian, something is rotten in college sports. For all its good, college sports needs rules that are going to be enforced. Sark's 3-stars in the Texas era The Texas Longhorns have signed 33 prospects generally ranked as 3-star's in the last four classes, not counting specialists. There has already been on NFL draft pick in Cameron Williams, and the 2026 draft could see two to four more former 3-star prospects selected.
