2025 San Juan Capistrano LB Madden Faraimo is headed back home to the west coast. The visit went very well for Texas and Faraimo on the weekend. Faraimo confirmed it was his second time on campus, he had originally visited in early April — a very under the radar visit that was not leaked out at the time. Texas, Notre Dame, Washington and USC are the contending teams. Johnny Nansen is doing a fine job here and the Longhorns have a real shot at landing Faraimo who mentioned a decision will come in the next couple of weeks. View full news story

Texas vs. Duke: Injury notes ahead of Tuesday's season opener The Texas Longhorns played preseason scrimmages against SMU and TCU without big men Matas Vokietaitas and Lassina Traore. Vokietaitas has been nursing an ankle sprain suffered early in fall practice. In the case of Traore, he has been working back to full strength following missing last season with an ACL injury. Ruston (La.) High and 4-star CB Aidan Anding told OTF Thursday evening that he is likely to announce his decision Monday, July 1. That is a change from original plan to announce Saturday. News broke yesterday that Texas declined an invitation to play Ohio State on Sunday Aug. 31 instead of Saturday Aug. 30. Texas did so for many reasons: - No guarantee of a Sunday night game next year given that it’ll be on ESPN or ABC rather than Fox. - Fox has done themselves no favors with Texas brass. Quick update on Texas WR Parker Livingstone — Reports are surfacing that Texas is expected to have Livingstone available this weekend vs. Oklahoma. That is the plan for now. Livinngstone, and Texas, dodged a pretty significant injury on Saturday following a hit to the leg after a pretty remarkable reception. X-rays came back clean, and nothing structural is believed to be affected following the hit.
