I erroneously said in the video that a few freshmen did not see action who actually did. They include: - The Coleman triplets; I only saw Jordan initially. - Caleb Chester - Zelus Hicks That is a total of 24 true freshman who saw action. The only two I did not see were Jackson Christian and Rickey Stewart. I could be wrong on Christian still. I’ll start my re-watch at about 10am this morning. Arch Manning went off last night. Literally and figuratively. He completed his final 13 passes to finish the game 18-21 with three TDs, two TDs rushing and more than 300 yards passing. He hit the short passes, the long ones and everything in between. He moved well in the pocket and ran the ball effectively in the red zone, too. And he did it all with authority. Bishop rushed for 301 yards and four TDs on 26 carries in 42-30 win. Bishop also threw for another score. As a reminder, Bishop has done most of the work in his high school career as a receiver. He’s just 54 yards away from the Greater Houston all-time record of 3,533 receiving yards, according to the Houston Chronicle. Some notes from behind the scenes… While most of Longhorn Nation is concerned with quarterback play and the offense, the mood inside DKR is decidedly different. The Longhorn staff remains upbeat about the season ahead. Not only do they feel the issues at QB are temporary, but they are extremely encouraged with other aspects of the team, particularly the defense and kicking game.
