  2. While Parker Livingstone has opted to enter the transfer portal, sophomore wide receiver Emmett Mosley V will be returning to Texas, sources tell On Texas Football. Mosley, who is from Southern California, transferred to Texas from Stanford in 2025. He was injured early in the season, but earned a starting role by the end of the campaign. He totaled 28 catches for 408 and three touchdowns, including a game-winner in overtime against Mississippi State. With decisions from Mosley and Livingstone, the Longhorns now await news from Ryan Wingo, who suffered a turf toe injury during yesterday’s game, as well as Auburn wide receiver Cam Coleman who has already ent…

  6. The news of Louisville running back Isaac Brown entering the portal is one to watch. While most of the portal attention for Texas fans at running back has centered around the decision of Florida's Jaden Baugh, Brown is someone we've mentioned on multiple broadcasts. He is a big-time home run hitter. He averaged more than 8 yards per carry in 2025, finishing the season with 884 yards on 101 carries. In 2023 as a freshman, he recorded 1175 yards rushing on 165 carries. In 2025 alone, he had five runs of longer than 50 yards. He is a mix between Tre Wisner and Jaydon Blue IMO. Brown is 5-9, 190 pounds and is originally from Miami. View full news sto…

  7. Started by Bobby Burton,

For those of us who suffered through a decade of a roller coaster ride of Longhorn football, the result yesterday was both satisfying and reassuring. The Longhorns, for the third year in a row, have now won 10 games. It’s the first time the program has done so since 2007-2009. Why is that so meaningful? Because Texas fans don’t just want or expect a single year of good football. They want more. They want consistent, repeated excellence; they want proof that their program, even if they fall just a bit short, is continually being built with an eye toward championships. Three consecutive 10-win seasons is proof of that. It was not merely a two-year anomal…

I've watched enough Texas football in my lifetime to know when I witness a special performance. Arch Manning produced exactly that today. Lamented as a "bust" nationally just two months ago, Manning not only diced up the Wolverines running and throwing the ball, he also came up big in the big moments and showed the kind of grit and determination that is rare to see. Whether it was shirking a pass rusher on a fourth-and-two scramble, tossing a beautifully placed go ball to a true freshman wide receiver, or making a long run on a good play call, Manning did it all. Furthermore, he did it much of the day without three of his top four wide receivers and his top…

  11. For the final time in 2025, Texas will take the field. 1st Quarter The Texas offense begins the contest with the ball at the 25. That was one of the fastest paces Texas has shown all season and it results in a field goal. Sark wants this to turn into a track meet it appears. Arch made a heck of a throw on the first 3rd down, but misses a curl route in the red area and Texas settles for a field goal. Christian Clark's first rush attempt went for 22 yards which was a beauty of a sight! This is basically a brand new defense. Let’s see what we get. Michigan had success throwing the football on the opening drive. Then stubbed their to…

  15. Recruiting wrap up from Under Armour All-America Game media day Orlando, Fla. - Here are the key notes and nuggets CJ and I gathered today at the Under Armour All-America Game media day. Easton Royal will be a battle ... The electric fast playmaker and 4-star++ Texas commit from New Orleans Brother Martin committed to Texas for all the right reasons. With that said, schools will only pursue him harder now. LSU HC Lane Kiffin has been in the DM's plenty. LSU, Tennessee and Miami are likely January or spring visits, along with Texas. Texas has a lot going for them in this recruitment. Winning out for a 10.3 100-meter sprinter that is a football first play…

  18. Started by Bobby Burton,

Usually teams are either mentally checked out for bowl games or really honed in. You can easily get a sense of that in how they practice. But I went to practice yesterday for the brief media viewing window, and I just couldn't tell much, especially not the overall vibe or energy of the team. The viewing window was just too short. So that means any prediction of mine for this game is going to be a shot in the dark at some level. I think the Michigan defense is better and deeper than most Longhorns fans realize. And I also believe the Texas defense is thinner than most Longhorns fans are willing to admit (Jordon Johnson-Rubell is currently a back-up linebacke…

Notes I've picked up: - Texas continues to monitor potential portal entries. They also continue their focus on the retention of the existing roster. Both aspects are very important and inter-connected. - Former Auburn receiver Cam Coleman announced his entry to the portal earlier today. Is Texas a possibility? Yes, however remote that might be at this juncture. Some national folks suggest that A&M is the real player in the sweepstakes; the Aggies are the team the Auburn admin felt was coming on strong. The Aggies are also thought to be attempting to lure Florida receiver Dallas Wilson into the portal. But I'll add this for both Colem…

Just left the practice field at Celebration High. It’s a beautiful day in Orlando with lots of sun and a steady breeze. - Colin Simmons worked some with linebackers in a punch-out drill. - Michael Taaffe is the only opt-out who is here with the team in Orlando. - While Ryan Niblett worked with the first team punt coverage unit, Daylon McCutcheon was returning punts. With the loss of DeAndre Moore, McCutcheon appears to be second team return man. - Multiple young players have continued to fill out their frames, including the Coleman brothers, Jackson Christian, Smith Orogbo, Zina Umeozulu, Lance Jackson, Myron Charles, Josiah Sharma and Nick Brooks…

  21. Nuggets from Orlando *** Both Texas and Michigan went to a local Orlando theme park Monday morning for a quick get morning with one of the Boys & Girls Clubs here in the area. A player from each team was paired with a youngster from the Boys & Girls club, and in turn they chaperoned the outing for the kids at the amusement park. Texas and Michigan will be back on the practice field this afternoon. Texas' practice will begin at 3:00 p.m. ET. – Will Muschamp is at practice. As noted by our team earlier in the week, the new defensive coordinator is in Orlando with the team, but mostly a bystander as Johnny Nansen runs the defense this w…

Portal Update The NCAA transfer portal officially opens January 2 and players have until January 16 to enter their name. The Texas Longhorns will be extremely active, and have a lot of work to do with needs at RB, OL, LB, secondary, WR, DL and specialists. Jadan Baugh ... Everyone wants to know what Florida running back Jadan Baugh is going to do. Here is the current answer, nobody knows as of last night despite confidence on the colleges that will be in pursuit front. He has not told Florida he has made a decision. Florida is working to bring back a solid offensive group around him. Key question here is can Florida keep both Baugh and Dallas…

  23. Started by Bobby Burton,

Texas is back on the practice field today at 2pm. The Horns have practiced every day since making the trek to Orlando. Texas is down eight starter-level players (one on offense, seven on defense) for this game against Michigan. ** The two biggest questions for this game for me are: 1. Can the Texas defense slow the Michigan run game? With so many defensive starters out, particularly at linebacker, it’s a task I’m unsure if Texas is up for. 2. The last time these two teams played, Steve Sarkisian put Michigan defensive coordinator Wink Martindale in a blender. Martindale is a talented, NFL-tested defensive coordinator, so you know he relishes the o…

Hopefully it’ll be a Texas Takeover. Everyone is welcome. It is free of charge. Wall Street is a pedestrian-only area of downtown that has about eight bars and a common area. We’ll be set up in the common area so folks can pick and choose where they want to go. Come hang out and have fun with CJ, Gerry, myself, other Longhorns and a few special guests! https://www.google.com/maps/search/25+Wall+St.+Orlando,+FL+32801?entry=gmail&source=g View full new…
