Texas QB Quinn Ewers has been a participant on the practice field so far this week. That much we know. Of course we know Texas is opening SEC play this weekend against Mississippi State at home and as of now, the Longhorns are a 38-point favorite for their first ever game in the conference. I thought about changing the title to this morning’s post from “Saturday” to something more clever and representative of these two teams renewing a rivalry the state has missed so much. What's Next in the Texas RB Room *** The news of Tre Wisner's portal entrance was unfortunate for me. Wisner was one of the first recruits I covered from the very beginning of his recruitment. Trevor Goosby: The latest OnTexasFootball can report that Texas junior left tackle Trevor Goosby has signed an agreement to return to Texas for the 2026 season. That does not mean he can't also decide to enter the NFL draft. Texas WR Ryan Wingo announced via Instagram story that he will be back in Austin for his junior season in 2026. Wingo and Texas had been in communication since the conclusion of the season for a new deal for his junior season and they come to an agreement on keep him in Austin. Texas has already added Cam Coleman to the room and Emmett Mosley V is locked in as well. Now with Wingo officially back, the Longhorn starting WR trio can go pound for pound with just about any team in the entire country.
