According to a court order, the hearing date for Cole Hutson has been moved to Aug. 10 from Aug. 3. Hutson, who is seeking a fifth year of eligibility, can practice with the team under a TRO against the NCAA. Texas begins fall camp on Aug. 5. It will be interesting to see how all of this transpires but it continues to trend in a positive direction for Hutson and the Horns. View full news story

Texas opens fall camp next week ahead of one of the most anticipated Longhorns football seasons that I can remember. Here are five questions for fall camp. These aren't the only five questions, but five of the most important that Jeff Howe and I came up with. 1.) Who emerges as LG1? The position battle everyone is watching closest this fall. With the Protect College Sports Act headed for the trash heap, it’s time to ponder what the future of college football will look like in the coming years. Will the SEC and Big 10 break away and create their own set of rules? I think that’s where this is headed. And I believe that’s where it should head absent federal law.
