Out of all positions in the 2027 Texas recruiting class, none has more question marks than linebacker. The good thing is Texas signed a great group in 2026 and feels like it hit on all three, which in turn will allow the Longhorns to be ok if they only end up with two, or possibly even one linebacker come Signing Day in December. The transfer portal can also help, but so does the following recruiting cycle. After dropping their opener against Louisville in extra innings, Texas Baseball has been on a roll and is now 10-1 on the season. The Longhorns are set to host Santa Clara this weekend, but there's been a major change in the lineup. As I reported yesterday, true freshman LHP Dylan Volantis was expected to be the Sunday starter going forward, taking over duties for Kade Bing. Texas made that official yesterday afternoon. As the Longhorns gear up to host a red hot Texas A&M team this weekend, I checked with a couple of sources to see where things stand as of Friday morning. First, let's start with some really good news. I'm told that all signs are pointing to freshman Jonah Williams playing against the Aggies this weekend. That includes at least one portal visit, and over 15 scheduled targets visiting in the 2025 and 2026 cycles. Michael Terry III and Alamo Heights are leaving Comal Canyon with a 30-point victory after a dominant second half. Terry ended up with a rushing, receiving and passing touchdown in the victory for the Mules. The five-star ATH will be at Texas tomorrow for the UTSA game. Happy Friday. A rather eventful first weekend of no spring ball. Finals are ongoing currently on the 40 Acres, signaling the end of another semester for students.
