Texas Spring Ball Depth Chart Texas spring football begins tomorrow morning! With that said, a look at the projected depth coming out of the spring. There will obviously be some movement and guys will cross-train at multiple different positions. The depth chart tomorrow obviously will look different than this projection. But for now, this is the most accurate projection OTF can provide for what the depth chart will look like for the Longhorns coming out of spring football. For this depth chart, there was a focus to limit one position per player. *** Quarterback Arch Manning KJ Lacey MJ Morris OR Dia Bell Running Back …

One of the few 2026 prospects on campus over the weekend added to his scrap book of Texas visits. 2026 Mission Hills (CA) QB Troy Huhn returned to Austin for yet another visit, his first since the Kansas State game in early November. Huhn originally got on the Texas radar with a visit in June for the elite camp. The talented quarterback got his first look at campus – aside from just driving through it, on his trip Saturday. Of course, being able to catch the scrimmage and sit in for a meeting with the quarterbacks ahead of time were a highlight as well. But Texas was able to show off more about the campus on this trip than they had previously. "Really just…

2026 Aledo RB Raycine Guillory Jr. has re-opened his recruitment and decommitted from the Texas 2026 class. Guillory previously had committed to Texas following his first trip to campus on January 20. The Aledo RB had been rehabbing a knee injury and was unable to participate in track this spring as well. Texas just added its 2026 QB in Dia Bell and have continued to recruit the RB position in the state of Texas heavily with Tradarian Ball, Javian Osborne, KJ Edwards and several others headlining the position. He made a visit to Texas for the Florida game, and will be back for a junior day - whenever that is for Texas. Rhodes burst onto recruiting scene this season. Oklahoma State was the first to offer October 9. Houston, North Texas, Arizona and Ole Miss followed with October offers. Connectivity a Strength of the Texas Defense Heading into Fall Camp *** We hear about it all the time: Can a group of 11 play together as one cohesive unit? It is a simple question, which often has a more complicated answer. Often times requiring multiple weeks into the season to get a glimpse of the final conclusion. On Wednesday at the Capitol Plaza McDonald's, Texas defensive backs Jelani McDonald and Kobe Black met with the media following their 2-hour long meet & greet as part of their NIL deal with the global corporation's franchise in Austin. What both had to say I will dive into tomorrow in the Happy Friday article, but one thing that…

2027 Argyle WR Julian Caldwell Calls Texas his "Dream School" For a while, the phrase above would send shutters down the spine of Longhorn fans who fanatically follow recruiting. It was like a kiss of death for highly anticipated recruitments that Texas was involved in. That sentiment has changed with the Longhorns' success on the field and developmental improvements which have produced 24 NFL Draft picks over the last two years. During the Texas Elite Camp on Sunday, that message was echoed to the top 2027 prospects on campus working for Texas offers and looking to establish relationships with the Texas staff. One of those prospects in particular was Argyl…

Adding to the list of unofficial visitors on Thursday will be 2027 Bastrop QB Weston Nielsen. The 2027 cycle is a ways away, but the Longhorns are continuing to monitor their backyard with Nielsen. During the Elite 11 in late April, Nielsen told me he was planning on camping with the Longhorns June 1 for their Elite Camp. Steve Sarkisian stopped by Bastrop for his first stop of the contact window in January and QB coach AJ Milwee stopped by to watch Nielsen throw in offseason workouts in early February. Both are expected to return in May to watch spring ball. I won't necessarily put the Cade Klubnik comp on Nielsen, but there are aspects of his game that re…
