What would Texas look like with Arthur Kaluma? Kansas State transfer forward Arthur Kaluma is currently on a visit to Texas with a decision expected out of Texas and SMU in the coming days. Kaluma, 6-7 and 225 pounds, has played three season of high-major basketball. He played at Creighton for two seasons before transferring to Kansas State for the 2023-24 season. He's also tested the NBA Draft waters, before returning to college. Kaluma has been a college combo forward with the hopes of developing a true wing skill set to make in the NBA long term. We’ve been tracking a returning starter entering the portal as of early this week. As of now, we believe there’s a greater than 50-50 chance that that player now remains at Texas. It’s coming down to the wire but that’s where it sits as of right now based on sources close to the player in question. ** While much of the focus has been on returning starters and “name” players for the Horns, the effort for Texas staff goes much deeper than that. With their season coming to a close after a Final Four appearance, Texas Women's Basketball Head Coach Vic Schaefer and his staff are expected to be very busy in the portal over the next couple of weeks. While I've been asked to hold off on giving a name at this time, the staff is hosting a big time visitor this week. I can tell you she's an impact player who can score. The Texas One Fund held its annual fundraiser last night with dignitaries across the Longhorn spectrum in attendance. From coaches, to players, to administrators and ardent supporters and even celebrities and politicians, like Joe Rogan and Tulsi Gabbard, it was an event to behold. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Leon Bridges and Parker McCollum were the musical guests. Held at DKR, guests were seated on the football field. It also included both live and silent auctions of donated prizes. As of this minute, sources tell OTF that IMG Academy edge Jake Kreul will likely pick Oklahoma over Texas and Ole Miss tomorrow afternoon. The Sooners seem to have prioritized Kreul. Texas already has one of the nation's top defensive ends pledged in Richard Wesley. Where does Texas go from here? Texas definitely wants two defensive ends in this recruiting season. While Parker Livingstone has opted to enter the transfer portal, sophomore wide receiver Emmett Mosley V will be returning to Texas, sources tell On Texas Football. Texas RT Andre Cojoe to Miss 2025 Season A significant blow to the depth of the offensive line has hit the Texas Longhorns. Texas right tackle Andre Cojoe will miss the entirety of the 2025 season with a knee injury according to sources.
