On Texas Football has confirmed that Texas is set to hire Oregon assistant coach Jack Marder and former Texas/Texas A&M assistant Caleb Longley. Marder is a former Oregon player and was the Ducks assistant coach, serving as hitting coach, catchers coach and recruiting coordinator under Mark Wasikowski. He helped land Baseball America’s No. 5 recruiting class in 2022, while also earning national recognition as one of college baseball’s rising assistant coaches. While Parker Livingstone has opted to enter the transfer portal, sophomore wide receiver Emmett Mosley V will be returning to Texas, sources tell On Texas Football. Mosley, who is from Southern California, transferred to Texas from Stanford in 2025. He was injured early in the season, but earned a starting role by the end of the campaign. He totaled 28 catches for 408 and three touchdowns, including a game-winner in overtime against Mississippi State. Martin is going to be a name to know for the 2026 class. At 6-foot-4, Martin already has the frame necessary for the next level at the position, but this spring and summer will be his first offseason devoted solely to football improvement and weight training. A few recruiting nuggets as we await Friday and the weekend. *** Oklahoma played host to a pair of cornerbacks this weekend that have previously shown interest in the Longhorns – Cobey Sellers and Courtland Guillory. Of course, we have reported for a while now that Sellers is a guy that is leaning more towards the Sooners than Texas at the moment. The official visit for Mission Viejo (CA) cornerback Dijon Lee is still scheduled to happen he confirmed with me. Lee dropped a top four last week that did not include the Longhorns – Georgia, Alabama Texas A&M and Washington. However, the official visit for June 12–14 is a trip he still expects to make.
