We are just four days away from the start of spring football beginning and for the first time in the Sarkisian era, there will be somebody other than Pete Kwiatkowski calling the defense. DENTON, Texas — OTF 4-star+ wide receiver Briceson Thrower Jr. is climbing recruiting boards across the country after an impressive junior season at North Forney. That includes Texas, where the 6-foot-3, 175-pound is a coveted target of UT wide receivers coach Chris Jackson's. “It’s a blessing for real,” Thrower told OTF of the attention he’s getting on the recruiting trail. “I see all these camps and stuff on YouTube, and now I’m out with the guys doing it myself. DENTON, Texas — Longhorns running back target SaRod Baker visited Austin for Junior Day back in January, and Texas has his attention. “Just knowing how many running backs they put in the league, that they culture they got, how they develop running backs, their speed,” he told OTF. “Also the running backs coach, Coach Juluke.” The first year Texas RBs coach hit it off with Baker and his family. “It’s great,” Baker said of his relationship with Juluke. “When I went down there he had a talk with my family, how I could come to Texas, and have a chance. AUSTIN, Texas — Jack Endries worked out in front of NFL scouts on Tuesday at Texas’ Pro Day after his first and only season with the Longhorns. “Went good,” Endries told reporters afterwards. “Loved running routes at the end. It’s kind of what I came here to do — show that I can run routes with everyone here. Bench pressed a little bit. I think my agility drills weren’t that good, but it’s alright. Sarkisian Feeling "Comfortable" with Performance from Sterling Berkhalter this Spring *** A name that did not grab many headlines during the winter portal is beginning to gain some traction during the spring.
