Big news out of Duncanville. Five-star WR Dakorien Moore has decommitted from LSU and re-opened his recruitment. Moore had been committed to LSU since August 12, 2023, however there had always been plenty of whispers behind the scenes that Texas was not all too worried about the verbal pledge. Now that Moore is back on the table, you can expect a continued all-out press for the nation's No. 1 WR. Moore was on campus in Austin several times this spring, though two trips were for track meets. 2025 Mission Viejo (CA) cornerback Dijon Lee has released a top four for his recruitment which does not include the Longhorns. Lee's top four included Washington, Alabama, Georgia and Texas A&M. Why is this noteworthy? Well, an official visit was just scheduled by Lee to Texas for June 12-14. It is the only midweek official visit locked in by a 2025 target to Texas at the moment which is also worth mentioning. Lee tells me his official visit will still take place this summer. Texas visits Jonah Williams Texas safeties coach and area recruiter Blake Gideon along with defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski made a stop at Galveston (Texas) Ball High today to see 4-star safety Jonah Williams. Williams, 6-3 and 205 pounds, was joined at Ball High by his father for the visit with the Texas staff members. According to a source, the visit went very positive for the Longhorns and Williams. Chris Jackson is in the Peach State this afternoon where he extended an offer to an elite 2026 prospect. Texas is officially in the boat now for 2026 Kaiden Prothro, a 6-foot-6 WR/TE prospect with 26 offers now. Prothro is ranked a top-30 prospect in the country for the 2026 class at the moment. Texas 2025 OV's by area and state Steve Sarkisian and staff are expected to host as many as 50 official visitors in the month of June. Was out at the McKinney spring game last night to see 2025 top Texas LB target Riley Pettijohn in action. Pettijohn was only featured in three series for the McKinney defense, but his presence was felt when he was on the field. The 6-foot-2 linebacker shows off his speed the instant he steps on the field, it was quite impressive to see when he shoots up the field into the backfield. But yesterday Jermayne Lole, a defensive tackle originally from Long Beach Poly by way of both Arizona State and Louisville, officially pledged to the Longhorns. What a win for the Longhorns in the portal. Texas has flipped former Louisville DL Jermayne Lole from his commitment from Oklahoma. Lole has instead committed to the Texas Longhorns. The Longhorns continue to add to their defensive line room as Lole becomes the third addition to this room, joining Bill Norton and Tia Savea. Lole is sixth year senior who spent three years at Arizona State before spending 2023 at Louisville. Two seasons were lost to injury.
