Houston (Texas) Mayde Creek 4-star+ linebacker Kosi Okpala told OnTexasFootball Monday afternoon that he is eyeing a decision in March, or possibly April. A few recruiting nuggets as we await Friday and the weekend. *** Oklahoma played host to a pair of cornerbacks this weekend that have previously shown interest in the Longhorns – Cobey Sellers and Courtland Guillory. Of course, we have reported for a while now that Sellers is a guy that is leaning more towards the Sooners than Texas at the moment. Texas A&M is likely a bit more well-positioned at this point than Texas following the decommitment from teammate Anthony Williams. Owens had a nice touchdown pass this weekend to Parker Livingstone as well. The progression most notable for Owens this spring has been when the first read is not available. Arizona transfer DL Bill Norton has arrived on campus for his weekend visit to Texas a source tells On Texas Football. OTF originally broke the news earlier this week that Norton would visit the Longhorns after entering the portal. As of Thursday evening, I can confirm he has arrived in Austin for his trip that will last beyond the spring game on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Texas of course is still interested in adding additional defensive linemen, with Jay Toia of UCLA and Damonic Williams of TCU having joined Norton atop of the Longhorns watch list at the position. Four-star DL locks in Texas official visit Texas defensive line coach Kenny Baker made a stop at Greensboro (Ga.) Greene County High today to see 4-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn. The result of the visit was Wynn, 6-2 and 315, locking in an official visit to Texas June 14-16. Wynn has OV’s scheduled to Georgia May 31-June 2, South Carolina June 7-9, Texas June 14-16 and Florida State June 21-23. Florida State and Alabama are considered the top two headed into the official visit process.

Arizona cornerback Tacario Davis has decided to withdraw his name from the transfer portal. Davis had spoken with Texas, as well as several other schools, after previously entering his name in the portal. Davis led the PAC-12 in PBUs last year with 15.

TCU defensive tackle Damonic Williams is expected to make a decision today. No specific time has been given for an announcement, but we're hearing the decision could come as soon as noon. The ball is in Williams' court. He is expected to decide between Texas, Oklahoma, LSU and Missouri, after visiting each of the schools in the last 12 days. Williams just completed his official visit to LSU yesterday. Williams is a top priority for Horns' DL coach Kenny Baker. Texas is set on poaching a potential defensive back committed to another SEC program. 2025 Auburn DB commit Devin Williams announced he will officially visit Texas the weekend of June 21-23. Williams has been committed to Auburn since February 26, and also announced his intentions to officially visit Auburn the weekend prior to his Texas visit, June 14-16. He has a huge motor. As crazy as it sounds, I think he has a lot left in his ceiling. This is not a kid that comes from a powerhouse school where he has been shoving protein shakes in him since the seventh grade. I listened to Steve Sarkisian’s press conference on Sunday afternoon. You could hear the disappointment of the loss in his voice. But, per usual, Sark was fairly even-keeled overall.
