The Texas 2025 Class: Where will it go? The Texas Longhorns currently sit at 13 commitments with a handful of prospects scheduled to announce decisions in the next week. The goals attainable for Steve Sarkisian and staff haven't changed, but the road is going to be more winding to December than anticipated in June. Texas is back on the board! The Longhorns earned a commitment from 2025 Hightower DB Kade Phillips Saturday evening. Phillips has long been a priority for the Texas staff since being offered in February. Phillips officially visited Texas during the June 21–23 weekend and the reports OTF received were very positive for the Longhorns. Texas is back up to 13 commits in the class with Phillips becoming the first safety in the fold. Phillips also joins Caleb Chester in the 2025 class for the secondary. I've read way too much bs over the last 24 hours. Texas got beat on a recruit. Yes. Was it a tough loss? Absolutely. Have there been others, too? Yes, it hasn't been the first or even second time in the last couple of weeks. There may even be another today and more tomorrow. I get the frustration. I understand it. I truly do.
