Latest on Peach State 5-star OnTexasFootball spoke with a person in the circle of Grayson High (Loganville, Ga.) 5-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson Monday night. Atkinson, 6-foot-2 and 210-pounds, visited Clemson and Georgia in the last three days. Both will be in the recruitment until the very end. Sources have told OTF that tight end Jordan Washington will more than likely be out the remainder of the spring due to an injury that happened last week in practice. There are rumors that Washington's injury will require surgery, but I am told that is false. Washington is expected to compete for the starting tight end job that is wide open at this point. The Longhorns are expected to pursue a tight end in the portal, but that plan has been in place since the end of the season, regardless of this setback.

Keynodo Hudson (Nickels) The biggest thing that stood out to me today from Keynodo Hudson was his mentioning that Michael Taaffe had been training at nickel. Hudson described Taaffe as a “cerebral assassin” who possesses great spatial awareness, instincts, and playmaking ability, all of which are traits that he says help Taaffe in the slot. Hudson also mentioned that Taaffe has a little experience there from previous seasons on plays where he rotates down from his natural safety position. Steve Sarkisian has made another hire to his program at Texas, but this time it’s an off the field addition. Errin Joe has been hired as the new Director of Scouting at The University of Texas, first reported by Matt Zenitz. Joe comes from Georgia Tech where he was previously a graduate assistant on the offensive line before eventually transitioning to Assistant Director of Player Personnel and General Manager of Georgia Tech Football. 4-Star DeSoto WR to Return to Austin Saturday Texas will host 2026 DeSoto WR Boobie Feaster for an unofficial visit on Saturday. Feaster will visit Texas A&M on Friday then make the trip over to Austin while the campus is buzzing from Texas Relays. Spoke to a few sources across multiple sports this morning and got a lot of good news across all fronts. Baseball: Texas swept a Top 5 Georgia squad over the weekend, without both Adrian Rodriguez and Max Belyeu. I checked on the status of those two earlier and was told that both are recovering well. Rodriguez is "structurally fine" but the staff does not want to rush his return. "It's solely when he feels better... but we need it to not hurt," said a source.
