One of my favorite post-game topics of discussion revolves around the three stars of the game. Essentially, who made the most noise on the field and had the best showing during the Longhorns' spring game. Year one to year two jumps will determine if Texas maximizes the season I'm a firm believer that year one to year two jumps in college football are the biggest a player makes traditionally. The Texas Longhorns begin the 2024 season with a top 5 ranking, and plenty of lofty expectations coming off a 12-2 season that ended in the college football playoff. Arizona cornerback Tacario Davis has decided to withdraw his name from the transfer portal. Davis had spoken with Texas, as well as several other schools, after previously entering his name in the portal. Davis led the PAC-12 in PBUs last year with 15.

Seven new Longhorns will join the program in June The Texas Longhorns will welcome at least seven newcomers to the program the last few days of May and June 1. Edwards was a walk-in varsity starter at left tackle as a freshman, and picked up his first offer from Ole Miss after the first two games of his high school career. Texas up to 41 OV's with big OOS addition The Texas Longhorns are up to 41 official visitors locked in for June with the addition of 4-star+ defensive lineman Vodney Cleveland (Birmingham, Ala./Parker). Mikahi Allen, a 6-foot-1-inch, 220-pound linebacker out of Ramsey, New Jersey told OTF this morning he has locked in an official visit to Texas for the weekend of June 19. Arizona transfer DL Bill Norton has arrived on campus for his weekend visit to Texas a source tells On Texas Football. OTF originally broke the news earlier this week that Norton would visit the Longhorns after entering the portal. As of Thursday evening, I can confirm he has arrived in Austin for his trip that will last beyond the spring game on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Texas of course is still interested in adding additional defensive linemen, with Jay Toia of UCLA and Damonic Williams of TCU having joined Norton atop of the Longhorns watch list at the position.
