Five-star Mark Bowman locks in Texas official visit Five-star tight end Mark Bowman (Santa Ana, Calif.) Mater Dei tells onTexasFootball that he has locked in his official visit to Texas. I mentioned earlier that safety Derrick Williams is still not “fully” back although he has been practicing some. One player who has been full-go this week is receiver Ryan Wingo. Wingo was held out for a lot of spring on a precautionary basis. His hamstring tightened and Texas just didn’t want to risk it, preferring to give it full time to resolve. Texas hosted 2026 Oaks Christian (Calif.) DB Davon Benjamin for a three-day visit last Wednesday, leading into the final days of the spring season. Benjamin had been looking to get down to Texas earlier in the spring and was able to make it at the tail end, a big move for the Longhorns in this recruitment.
