With track and field season ending over the weekend in the Lone Star State, OTF brings you the fastest Texas targets in the 2027 class. Included below are PRs in the 100M, 200M, long jump, high jump, triple jump, shot put, and discus. Since every target doesn’t compete in track, there are several priority prospects missing from the list. Every mark below was sourced from either MileSplit or Athletic.net. Since neither platform requires coaches or athletes to report wind readings, the PRs listed below reflect the recorded marks regardless of wind conditions. Last night freshman phenom Jonah Williams made his first start for No. 1 ranked Texas Baseball, going 2-of-4 with three RBIs. The latest on Tilmon this evening: Those official visits Tilmon did not mention earlier are Baylor (June 14) and TCU (June 21). As for if Texas will receive one, there issue at hand is Tilmon finding time for them to squeeze in. Texas is pushing to replace one of the scheduled officials as you would expect. Texas might be fighting a bit of a taller hill here after offering so late in the process. Tilmon has been courted by the regional in-state schools for much longer. The latest on 2025 DL JJ Hanne Spring and early June riser JJ Hanne (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Catholic) will make his first unofficial visit to Texas later this week. The 6-4, 275 pound defensive lineman will fly into Austin Thursday and visit Texas Friday per a person very close to the recruitment. The visit comes after defensive coordinator Peter Kwiatkowski made a visit to see Hanne in May, and PK and Kenny Baker offered June 4. Latest Update on Arch Manning *** Pete Nakos of On3 has reported that QB Arch Manning is a game-time decision for Saturday's contest vs. Vanderbilt. I can confirm that report. In a thread on Thursday, an OTF OG lofted out an estimation of 70% likeliness that Arch Manning plays. OnTexasFootball can confirm RB CJ Baxter is expected to miss the majority of the 2024 season due to torn ligaments in his knee suffered during the first padded practice of fall camp, Anwar Richardson was the first to report. The injury suffered at practice "did not look good" sources told OTF and he was quickly carted off the practice field. New Texas DB Coaches in Contact with 2026 ATH Jalen Lott Quick little trip over to McKinney North for a Friday afternoon track meet while up in DFW this weekend. The focal point was to catch up with 2026 Panther Creek ATH Jalen Lott who was competing in the long and high jump during the meet. Lott will wrap up his competition and board a flight to Eugene to visit the Oregon Ducks this weekend. Earlier today, we reported Texas Tech had made a push for Mansfield Lake Ridge offensive lineman Felix Ojo. That continues to be the case. In fact, Tech’s NIL offer to Ojo is said to be larger than that of both Texas and Ohio State. Rumors are swirling that five-star combo guard Aaliyah Chavez (Lubbock Monterey) will take in the Texas WBB game later today at 1:00 PM. I can confirm, however, that this is NOT true. Chavez made the five-hour trek to Norman over the weekend to squeeze in one last visit to Oklahoma and I've been told that it went very well for the Sooners. Lubbock Monterey combo guard Aaliyah Chavez is fresh off winning a state championship, but now her decision date is nearing. The nation's No. 1 player will decide between Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, South Carolina and UCLA on March 25th. Over the past couple of months it's been Texas and Texas Tech at the top, with both schools looking like they had the best shot to win out. Jalen Brewster, the nation's no. 1 recruit and a commitment to Texas Tech, continues to visit other schools, including LSU and Texas. He visited the Tigers and Longhorns the last two weekends, respectively. Yet "The J Brewster Living Trust" apparently purchased property in Lubbock this past February while Brewster was still a high school junior. Rumors are flying that Texas outfielder Max Belyeu could possibly be transferring to Texas A&M. After speaking with a couple of sources on Sunday afternoon, I can say that I do not believe that to be the case at this time. Obviously things can change at the drop of a hat, but that’s where things stand as of now. Belyeu was a crucial piece of the Horns offense this season, batting .329 at the plate, while hitting 18 home runs and 53 RBIs.

2025 Alamo Heights ATH Michael Terry III has returned back to San Antonio following his official visit to Texas over the weekend. The question coming into the weekend was in regards to where he would fit on the field at the next level – with the idea of playing defense being floated as well. Terry would prefer playing offense, but the conversation is fluid at the moment with the Longhorns. There was a conversation about playing on the defensive side of the ball during the official visit this weekend. While there have been some rumors out there to the contrary, as of today Quinn Ewers is expected to start tomorrow night in College Station against Texas A&M. This falls in line with Steve Sarkisian listing Ewers, a three-year starter, as “probable” for this game. The real question is just how healthy Ewers will be in doing so. He has undergone treatment all week in an effort to expedite the healing process. Only time will tell just how much (or how little) that treatment has worked and whether or not the injury will be exacerbated during the game itself.
