Both Texas and Saint Joseph's surrendered big leads in their games Thursday night, before winning late. Texas is coming off an 89-43 victory over Mississippi Valley State. Tre Johnson and Arthur Kaluma led the Longhorns in scoring with 18 points. Texas women's basketball made a big splash on the recruiting trail on Thursday, landing 6-foot-7 center Jayla Forbes out of Monteverde Academy in Florida, she announced on her social media. Forbes chose the Longhorns over a long list of offers that included Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, and UCLA, among others.
