AUSTIN, Texas — Despite residing in the South Plains and playing at Lubbock (Texas) Cooper-Liberty, 2028 tight end Koleman Hendrix made his second trek down to Austin earlier this summer for Elite Camp. Texas offers 2026 DB out of Colorado Texas cornerbacks coach Mark Orphey extended an offer to senior riser cornerback Toray Davis (Boulder, Co./Fairview) Monday. The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder was committed to UCLA until the firing of Deshaun Foster. Since de-committing September 22, Davis has picked up offers from Wisconsin, Arizona State, Indiana, Iowa and now Texas. Chris Jackson is in the Peach State this afternoon where he extended an offer to an elite 2026 prospect. Texas is officially in the boat now for 2026 Kaiden Prothro, a 6-foot-6 WR/TE prospect with 26 offers now. Prothro is ranked a top-30 prospect in the country for the 2026 class at the moment. Prothro is also a baseball kid as well, though he looks to be all football at the next level. Oklahoma and Auburn were also in attendance at practice this afternoon with Jackson. The Longhorns have extended an offer to 2026 OLB Kenneth Goodwin III out of Desert Pines, Nevada. Goodwin is the No. 3 ranked player in the state of Nevada for the class of 2026. At 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, Goodwin has plenty of frame to fill out before his college days as well. The offer was extended via coach Johnny Nansen who I expect to continue out west this weekend where he is quite familiar with the lay of the land in California, Arizona and Nevada. Texas has extended an offer to 2026 Manoah Faupusa out of Los Alamitos, Calif. The 6-foot-3-inch and 300-pound defensive lineman now holds six offers after receiving USC, UNLV, San Jose State, Colorado and Arizona in the spring of 2023. Now Texas comes back to restart the attention in this recruitment. Texas has extended an offer to 2027 St. John Bosco WR Isala Aisa Wily-Ava after camping with the Longhorns Thursday night. The talented 6-foot-2 incoming sophomore earned offers from Hawaii, Cal, Utah, Oregon State and New Mexico in the month of May. On Saturday afternoon the Longhorns extended an offer to Brenham 2027 running back Jakoby Dixon. This past season Dixon rushed for 1,181 yards and 14 touchdowns on 133 carries (8.88 YPC). The Texas Longhorns extended an offer today to Melissa High 2026 SG Austin Goosby. Goosby, 6-6, is the younger brother of Texas backup left tackle Trevor Goosby. Goosby has been one of the fastest rising prospects nationally in the 2026 class. He has recent offers from Kansas, Alabama, SMU and Oklahoma. Other offers include Florida State and Texas A&M. Texas offered 2025 Mansfield Timberview and current SMU DB Nathan Tilmon Saturday morning. Tilmon committed to SMU on February 3rd, as the Mustang staff has done a tremendous job this cycle of getting out in front of a number of talented 2025 area prospects. Since then, he has earned offers from Arizona State, UTEP and now Texas. Texas has been hit with its second portal casualty of the spring with the news of Payton Kirkland's expected entrance reported first by Hayes Fawcett of On3. Kirkland has been recovering from a knee injury he suffered a year ago and has yet to find a groove back to the field. This spring, Kirkland has often been working alone with the Texas training staff on the back fields at the Denius practice fields. The 6-foot-6 and 366-pound offensive lineman from Orlando, Florida did not appear in a game as a freshman in 2023.
