Winning three of four, including three in a row, has positioned the Horns to earn a NCAA Tournament berth with seven games to go. The road to 9-9 to be a lock will not be easy, however. Texas offered the 6-foot, 185-pound playmaking safety out of DFW area power South Oak Cliff February 2, and has been in hot pursuit since. AUSTIN, Texas — Five-star defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou returned to the Forty Acres on Saturday, opting for a return trip to Austin instead of Michigan. The last time he was in town was for UT’s win over Texas A&M in November. “This trip I think (what) stood out to me was being able to connect with the D-end’s coach (LaAllan Clark),” Fakatou told OTF. “Because when I came last year I was like 310 pounds, so I was seen as a D-tackle. But I was playing edge at high school. That’s what I want to play when I go to college. 2025 San Juan Capistrano LB Madden Faraimo is headed back home to the west coast. The visit went very well for Texas and Faraimo on the weekend. Faraimo confirmed it was his second time on campus, he had originally visited in early April — a very under the radar visit that was not leaked out at the time. Texas, Notre Dame, Washington and USC are the contending teams.
