I spoke with an SEC assistant coach who is involved in the recruitment of North Crowley offensive tackle John Turntine. This coach (and this program) have been recruiting him for quite some time, actually. The coach said that the Longhorns, along with Michigan and Texas A&M, are the three schools with a legitimate shot to land Turntine, which lines up with what @Gerry Hamilton has been saying. When asked which one he felt Turntine would ultimately end up at, he broke it down by percentages. “I’d say Texas leads. I think it’s somewhere around 50% Texas, 30% Michigan and 20% Texas A&M.” Obviously anything can change, but felt it was worth pass…

Pensacola (Fla.) Catholic 5-star EDGE Trenton Henderson is down to three schools ahead of decision that is expected around July 2. It's Florida, Texas and LSU. The feeling on the 40 Sunday is that it's a Gators vs. Longhorns decision. But we shall see. Florida has had the most confidence in recent weeks.

There was talk of this back in Dec/Jan when the kid transferred from Wisconsin to Miami, but now it's an actual thing. I'm not an attorney by any means, but it would seem that Wisconsin has a case here for upholding the NIL contract. If so, it could set some precedence for all the cases of kids taking a bag from one school, then jumping in the portal to a new school. I'm not smart enough to truly go down the rabbit hole to know all the impacts that this could have, but I'm sure someone on here is. Hi, New here so not sure how this works but came up with the attached analysis via a quick question I asked when I couldn't listen to Friday's coffee and football. Its a quick but slightly interesting discussion on the top recruiting areas around the country over the last 10 years and how it works with the NIL deals.
