I guess it depends on how the administration looks at it. In the + column they beat a good Texas team which earns him points, and a ranked SMU. They lost to OSU, Kansas, and Arizona for ranked teams. Everyone else they beat wasn't all that good. They ran the score up on people so it would inflate their numbers, but if you look under the hood the results were pretty poor. Had they lost to Texas I think the dialogue about this OU team would have been MUCH worse for Venables
