Uh huh👍

I know they have to win game 1 first but a win over Barnes would be so sweet

I saw a team today that is clearly rough around the edges come together and grit out a win against a decent Washington team. Pitching wasn’t the issue today but defense was with 4 errors. Defense can be fixed a lot easier than pitching though. Good to see the arms doing better. Kuddos to Grubbs with a solid outing. Hate to think where this team would be without Peyton Powell! Dude is money.

10-8. 73 walks in 18 games. Not the start we wanted doubt.

It’s very different times for most of us. I remember my first spring break in South Padre (year is not relevant lol) we had an average motel room with 2 double beds and there was 8 of us in that one room for 5 days. That was the only was we could afford to go. Quinn you’re missing out! 🤣

I know we are in the portal era so leashes just aren’t as long especially at major programs but I think RT deserves 2 full years at the least. He still has things to learn no doubt but some forget or just don’t realize about the continuity factor and how huge it is in sports. Something Sark puts a lot of emphasis on.

Since injuries are part of the game, what positions cannot stand to lose a starter to injury (QB doesn’t count)?

He’s doing a solid job so far in a conference that’s second to none this year.

Any updates on the status of Phillip Miller?

As long as it’s one more than the opponent 🤣. I agree they are going to have to out score teams until they can get the arms to have some basic command. Too many cookies and free passes so far. There is still time to get better. They just won a series against what we think is one of the better teams in the conference. Goes without saying issues are a lot easier to correct when they’re winning.

Gage Boehm has 11 innings pitched, 15 k’s and zero walks. He does have 3 hit batters but he’s the one for me to be the go to pen guy. Grant Fontenot has a lot of talent. It’s almost like all the pitchers are pressing too hard.

I expect we will see a lot of movement, both positive and negative in the polls this season as long as the pitching is so wild. I don’t remember seeing so many Longhorn pitchers miss their target by feet on 3 ball counts. Pretty crazy. I still have faith the pitching staff will improve. The next couple of weeks will tell us a lot where this team could end up come May.

Happy birthday Blake!!

When he announced he was returning for his senior year. That was Mack’s first recruiting win.

I think coach Miller has either developed some bad habits or hasn’t evolved like he should or both. I have no inside knowledge that’s just my gut. If that’s the case getting rid of Miller isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Thanks Blake! 👊 I’m just guessing here but curious if Miller and Tulo butted heads. Miller has been with coach Pierce a long time.

This is awesome!! 🤘🤘

I enjoy watching softball. The reaction times are crazy! The chatter is a little much sometimes 😂

I would have to put Texas State ahead of the Horns

He does. I was surprised when I heard he made that decision.

Yeah next year’s team may be Vic’s best team he’s ever had. Should be a good run if all goes well.

Hopefully this is just a bump in the road. Texas has been in Omaha 2 of the last 3 years and last year they made it to a super regional. I’m still fairly confident this team will improve and be a contender for the conference championship in a couple of months.

Watching the Johnston High School Rams (one of the two high schools I went to) play for a chance to go to state championship in 1988, watching Kevin Von Eric and gang wrestling in mid 80’s, and yeah I went to a Beastie Boys concert there in the 80’s 🤦‍♂️

I enjoyed that guys! To me the speed of the game should be sped up just a little.

JM wasn’t my selection in the poll (mine was Mayfield) but JM is easy to hate. He was bad for the sport. Thank the lord for Mack Brown not bringing that crazy train to Austin.
