Not to mention the women have been on a steady incline too back towards competing for a natty since the 80s/90s with Paul Bergen and Richard Quick as the coaches and 4 time Olympian Jill Sterkyl who just happens to also be a prominent member of the women’s sports department.

Yea, the UIL is very strict and won’t back off rulings. Cost my swim team the first men’s swimming championship at Westlake. Instead it took place 3 years later with my little brother’s team. I’ll never let that one go. So sad for our group. We were going to set several national records in relays for public schools for sure and may have even taken the superteam schools like Bolles.
