TBD. Texas will lower his snap count from a year ago at Arkansas, or that is the plan, so he can maximize his snaps more than last season when Arky had no choice.

The large human over the ball on the Texas defense played anywhere from 385-390 a year ago at Arkansas. And played 424 snaps effectively at that weight, which is impressive. He is listed at 375 on the official Texas Longhorns roster. A source told OTF Tuesday evening that the big, big, big man continues to hover between 375-380 "depends on if he just ate" The goal for Texas is have him hover around 365-370 this season. Ian "Geffridge", as Rod Babers nicknamed him, is going to be a key and potentially crucial member of Will Muschamp's defense this season.

Non-con is 13 or 14 games... Texas will have 7-8 cupcake home games where Miller and staff can get a lot of guys minutes, while also learning about the players in game, rotations, etc... there are four for sure NCAA Tournament teams in non-con, and two other high-major level teams. Then 18 SEC games, and the vast majority will be hard fought games. Then SEC Tournament. Texas will be battle tested more than enough. Will have played every style of team, teams with different talent strengths, teams with every style and the Texas players will have been in plenty of pressure situations.

I don’t get it either. A non-con of at Louisville (will be a top 3 seed team), Miami (will be a top 20 type team), Baylor (talented guards and likely top 35 team), likely UCLA (will be a top 25 level team), Georgetown and Memphis home prepares Texas. The home non-con took a hit due to having two “neutral site” games, but I like that Texas is playing in SA and Houston against quality opponents. People want a teams to play a murders row non-con, plus SEC/ACC plus SEC … I want Sean Miller to build his depth and team, and grown and prepare his team for the SEC grind without having to play starters too many minutes in non-conference. 14 game non-conference 18 game SEC SEC Tourney NCAA Tournament hopefully a 38-40 game season. Texas will be battle tested and ready throughout the season

Mingo brothers will be good, and the Liberty transfer is one of best shooters in country Baylor will likely struggle with Matas and Punch … the combo
