Love that take! Agree 100% … lack of NIL has played a factor I do believe - Euro recruiting focus

What do you think of Cronin next year and moving forward?

Portal Kombat: Two hoops transfers to know New Mexico freshman 6-9 forward JT Toppin is a name to know for Texas fans. Toppin had a tremendous freshman campaign averaging 12.4 points and 9.1 rebounds in 36 games, including 35 starts. He's the younger brother of Obi Toppin. This should be considered a very tough recruitment. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/stats/_/id/5143604/jt-toppin UCLA freshman big man Berke Buyuktuncel hit the portal today, and he's a name to know for Texas fans. The 6-9, 240 pound power forward is from Turkey, and the Horns have someone on staff (yep, that high flyer) that has connections to players in Turkey. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/stats/_/id/5174982/berke-buyuktuncel

Let’s go!

Lol Hard to cheer for Tre in the Moody without any hands!

Fit off the court with the Texas players... but that's just what I was told. I have no personal knowledge of that.

100% true. That district was also so good back then too. Imagine not making the playoffs due to one team getting in, and watching so many teams you were better than throughout the playoffs.

True. Texas needs a role player rebounder and defender.

Not that.

Texas and Oklahoma State big man Brandon Garrison will not be getting married. The Longhorns have some other bigs they like more as a fit.

This 2025 big has a lot of upside BTW …

Not 100% sure. Even if he is, he needs some time IMO. Texas is looking for another big for sure. Rytis was that swing forward, and they wanted him badly.

Texas roster right now PG/CG Jordan Pope, 6-1, junior PG Julian Larry, 6-3, senior SG Chendall Weaver, 6-3, junior SG Tre Johnson, 6-6, freshman SG Tramon Mark, 6-6, senior SG Malik Presley, 6-6, sophomore SF Devon Pryor, 6-7, sophomore F Jayson Kent, 6-8, senior PF Nic Codie, 6-9, freshman PF Zerik Onyema, 6-8, senior C Kadin Shedrick, 6-11, senior

Texas adds Vanderbilt transfer guard The Texas Longhorns added one more perimeter player to the roster Monday. Vanderbilt transfer 6-6 guard Malik Presley (San Marcos, Texas/High) announced he will join the Texas program. Presley will provide depth in 2024-25, and will fight for minutes in the two years following. Presley averaged 2.2 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.5 assists as a freshman.. He appeared in 26 games with five starts in 2023-24. Presley continues the Texas goal of having bigger options in the backcourt moving forward. He's the second 6-6 left handed guard to join the program out of the portal.

Not in any recruitments I have covered.

I believe they make around 75-80 million a year ... which is very impressive. Having been there 25+ times over the years, it's an amazing campus, facilities, Power 5/pro like set up and awesome location - beach, weather, year round training weather, two airports, etc... It's extremely well run on top of all of it.

Yep. around 75K to attend for a year. Some countries will pay to have their athletes attend IMG. And there are a lot of deals with the Under Armour, Gatorade, etc... IMG Academy sponsors ■ Air Weave ■ Dunlop ■ ForeverLawn ■ Gatorade ■ Gatorade Sports Science Institute ■ Johns Hopkins Medicine ■ KwikGoal ■ Michael Saunders & Company ■ Musco Lighting ■ Select ■ Therabody ■ Under Armour ■ Uni

I'm one that doesn't care if Garrison goes elsewhere ... I want a little more skill with the needed size.

Saw Kevin Patton at Pangos Camp in LV prior to senior season. I'm a big fan of his upside. Would be a very good replacement for Rytis P.

Thank you very much!

All of it lol

Texas really loved him... they wanted him bad!
