  1. Jerry Gray will always be the measuring stick for me when it comes to Texas DBs. A friend played against him in high school at Lubbock Estacado. Said he was also a wishbone QB and would squat so low behind center you could barely see him. Next thing you were seeing after the snap was the back of his jersey.
  2. Mike Williams is the answer for me. Freakish ability. Remember his recruitment out of Lindale and thinking he may have been the best talent in a loaded class. We should be talking about him as an all time Texas great.
  3. Goldenetz looks like a Jake Mangum starter kit. Will take that in a second if that's the case.
  4. Not saying he will end up at Texas, but the family valuing education is more than lip service. Raised by educators who understand the big picture. Wonderful mom and dad who have instilled an exemplary work ethic in him. Also grew up in a Longhorns family .
  5. Devin Duvernay ran a 10.3 in high school . My bias aside, he has to be on the list somewhere. Great topic.
  6. Same high school as former Longhorns Derrick and Cedric Dockery. Taught in that district for a long time (South Garland and Sachse) and it has been very good to the Longhorns. Herkie Walls, Brandon Loy, Charles Omenihu, Devin Duvernay and Jason Flores come to mind among several others. Most coaches there are Texas friendly

  8. The wife and I live October through April in Huntsville, Texas. We spend summers in beautiful Port Angeles, Washington. Blessed .
  9. Jermaine Bishop with arguably the vest performance this season in Texas high school football. Pound for pound you can't convince me he's not the best player in the state. Immediate impact player. https://x.com/JScruggs247/status/1994988801400111562?t=yZvxlnc9Ve8X1A7p6LEDNA&s=19
