Yeah for sure. I wouldn’t expect you to choose Ohio State’s running backs. I trust the Ohio State development and S&C programs. Both of them will be good this year. As will Texas’ backs, this isn’t only one of them can be good.

Just knowing Ohio State’s history, I would still take James Peoples & CJ Donaldson Jr over Texas’ backs. No offense, nobody is worried about running back at Ohio State. I’m not saying they are as good as the two you mentioned, because they are not, but they’ll be good.

To be fair to Oregon, because I feel like it is disrespectful to act like that was an easy win, we know Oregon could beat Ohio State last season, something Texas wasn’t able to do.

Relying on other teams to beat Ohio State is soft. Let me know when Texas is the reason you can point to to show how soft Ohio State is.

I think both QB’s will have their moments, but I think fans who are expecting this to be Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady are going to be disappointed.

What I am most excited to see with Julian Sayin is his elite “processing speed” that we have always heard about.

This is 100% right, but like my fellow Buckeye pointed out, whether it’s on screens or reverses, Smith is going to get the ball a minimum of 8-10 times. They’ll make sure of that.

Yeah for sure. I think us Ohio State fans need to accept that there are going to be ugly moments from Julian Sayin on Saturday. Now hopefully they don’t cost Ohio State too much, but there will be times (or maybe the entire game) that he struggles.

Arch is definitely the prototype of exactly what you would want your NFL QB to look like. I can’t wait for this one.

Ohio State is motivated as well. Despite being the national champions, Texas is the #1 team coming to their house, and not many people think Ohio State will win.
